FIS has dedicated 300 m2 of the new Stroth Center for Learning and Athletics to a state-of-the-art Fitness Center. The storyline of the FIS Fitness Center is
strikingly similar to that from the famous sports movie, Field of Dreams – “Build it, and they will come.” The FIS leadership team listened to their inner selves – and chants from others – and built one of the largest and best-equipped tness centers in an academic setting. Now, large numbers from the entire FIS community are coming – again and again.
Every sports fan loves a success story, and the Fitness Center is de nitely one of them. Since opening in March 2016, more than 230 faculty and sta , and 475 parents, have completed the mandatory, 30-minute training and orientation course required to join the Fitness Center. A more impressive statistic is retention – approximately 70% of faculty and sta , and 50% of parents, are still regular users!
