Students in the Spotlight
Upper School Dance and Theater students will take to the stage for two exciting performances during the months of November and December. The first is a dramatic performance of An Enemy of the People on 19, 21 and 22 November, which you can read more about on page 10. The second is a Winter Dance Showcase, Souvenir, which explores themes and stories from the well-known animation film Inside Out. Dance performances are 6, 7 and 8 December. All performances will take place in the FIS Auditorium.

As part of their Unit of Inquiry “How we express ourselves,” Grade 4 students in Mr. Thompson’s class at FISW created colorful self-portraits, before adding the PYP learner profile attributes they felt applied to them to their illustrations. To take the project a step further, students then used string to connect similar attributes among their classmates. The end result was a powerful example of the many things we have in common – and just how connected all of us really are.

PTG Book Fair
The PTG’s annual Book Fair returns to the Oberursel Campus Primary and Elementary Schools just in time for the holidays. Students (and families) can browse a large selection of English and German-language titles for all ages during the week-long fair. The Book Fair takes place in the FIS Primary School Foyer on 14 and 15 November, and in the Elementary School Junior Lounge on 16–18 November.
Winter Concerts at FIS and FISW
The festive season comes alive with the sound of music as students from across grade-levels and campuses perform in a series of winter concerts, both on campus and locally. From band and orchestra to choirs and class performances, families are sure to be entertained – and impressed – by the musical talents students will bring to the stage.
