About the back page:
FISW Grade 4 and 5 students in Heather Skinner’s art class read about the artists Jim Dine (American) and Louise Nevelson (Ukrainian-American) to learn about two modern artists. They then developed ideas for artwork inspired by one of these artists, specifically looking at Dine’s “Hearts” series and Nevelson’s “assemblages” sculptural works. Grade 4 student, Hyunjun Y. chose Dine as his inspiration in this colorful, heart-themed work, using paints to create what he calls, “Heart of a Peace.”
FIS World is a production of Frankfurt International School e.V.
