FIS Community Directory
In December 2015 the school introduced a new FIS Community Directory for mobile devices. The web- based App was developed in house to answer the growing need for a reliable, accurate and easy-to-use electronic directory. The simple yet elegant tool is intended to keep community members connected, and because it is a web-based application, works on any device.
Features include an easy-to-use search function, one-tap access for phone numbers and email addresses, links to Google maps, and an option to save contacts directly to the device.
Directory data is pulled from our Student Information System (Veracross), ensuring that it’s both up to date and that personal profile settings carry through for privacy.
Like our other former online directories, the mobile version is

FIS Community members interested in accessing the directory can find a short video tutorial at www.fis.edu/ directoryvideo (login is required).

Web and App users have be- come savvy consumers of content. When they’re look- ing for information, they want it fast and they want to find it easily.
Enter FIS’s growing suite of mobile Apps and web-based resources, which now include the school’s official website in responsive design, an App dedicated to lunch services, and a dynamic community directory for FIS parents, faculty and staff.
FIS Website
When FIS launched its redesigned website in November 2015, it was with mobile in mind. The responsive nature of the site now detects the user’s device and formats content accordingly. Pinching and pulling to read content is no longer necessary.
In addition to the much-improved layout, the redesigned site also has new built-in features – single sign on for our Student Information System (Veracross), options for syncing calendars, and links to media galleries and social media channels – all of

Content includes a weekly menu plan, pricing, information on allergies and additives, and links to the campus’s cashless payment system.
The FIS Aramark App is available for both Android and Apple devices, and links for the App can be found at http://www.aramark.de/app/ or by searching for “ARAMARK GmbH” in the App Store or Google Play. Once the App is installed, the location code for FIS is: F614S
Just as FIS strives to provide the most relevant education for our children, we also strive to provide the most relevant technology to our community. Feedback, questions or new ideas are always welcome at webmaster@fis.edu
